About Tiger Bill and TigerMix.com, Inc. A True Renaissonance Man A professional drummer, teacher-clinician, author-publisher, freelance writer, Webmaster, and producer of the "Fun With Drums" television show airing on Comcast, Tiger Bill Meligari started his first business in the late 1970's. The result was the publication of his first drum book "DoubleDrum: A Double Bass Drum Text." The book, which was widely acclaimed by master percussionist around the globe, was endorsed by both Louie Bellson and Roy Haynes. With over threee decades of experience, Bill is a master drumset technician who is credited with the development of the groundbreaking concepts of Tension Free Drumming. Professionals and hobbyists alike travel from around the world to take private drum lessons with Bill in his state-of-the-art East Coast studio. He become incorporated under TigerMix.com, Inc. in 1988 with the goal of producing the world's finest educational products. In addition to his drumming expertise, Tiger Bill is also a registered black belt martial arts instructor. Specializing in practical self-defense, Bill has trained everyone from children to employees of major corporations to the police and has appeared on a number of television shows including New York's Fox Family Show and NewsTalk Television. Bill, who was given the nickname "Tiger" by his former drum instructor the legendary Joe Morello, also raised two of his three children gaining him the rep of Mr. Mom. Over the years, Bill has gained expertise as a computer programmer (graduating from the Chubb Institute for Computer Technology) and was an early user of non-linear video editing gear beginning with the original Amiga Video Toaster system, which he used to produce videos for major corporations such as Nabisco and Alliance Capital. He now puts those talents to good use as head of his own company, TigerMix.com, Inc., where he recently completed work on a DVD and book series that details his Concepts of Tension Free Drumming.
